“CHILLING THROWBACK: THE COSTUME THAT PREDICTED A NIGHTMARE?”

The alleged attacker of conservative activist Charlie Kirk once wore a costume of President Leading figure for Halloween, unearthed social media images reveal. Tyler Robinson, 22, was seen dressed up in the outfit in a 2017 post shared by his mother Amber, when he would have been around 14. The image shows him smiling at the camera while standing next to his younger brother.

Robinson was taken into custody on Thursday night in southern Utah after reportedly admitting involvement in the incident with Kirk, who passed away after sustaining a neck injury while speaking at a Utah Valley University event on Wednesday. Robinson was a student at Utah State University on a scholarship, insiders confirmed to Daily Mail. He was identified as the main suspect and remained missing for a day and a half. Utah Governor Spencer Cox announced his capture at a press conference Friday by stating: “Good morning, ladies and gentlemen — we got him.”

Robinson’s family members told police that he had become “more political in recent years,” Cox said. They described incidents where Robinson had come to dinner and “mentioned Charlie Kirk was coming to UVU and mentioned why he didn’t like him.”

Cox said that items linked to the case were found with several engraved messages, including one referencing the Italian anti-fascist song Bella Ciao. One engraving read “Hey Fascists, Catch!” — next to an up arrow symbol, right arrow symbol and three down arrow symbols — and another read “If You Read This You Are Gay LMAO,” Cox said.

Robinson arrived on the UVU campus driving a gray Dodge Challenger, before the tragic event involving the 31-year-old conservative influencer, police said. He was dressed in a plain maroon T-shirt, light-colored shorts, a black hat with a white logo and light-colored shoes. Cox said Robinson was wearing clothing “consistent” with this outfit when he was detained around 10pm local time Thursday.

FBI Director Kash Patel described the capture of the suspect as “historic” — congratulating the bureau for bringing the search to an end within 33 hours.

The family’s social media show Robinson, with his brothers, enjoying vacations and sharing selfies, including some celebrating his admission into college. He lives in a $600,000 six-bedroom home in Washington, Utah — about 260 miles south of the tragedy in Orem.

Officials have yet to confirm a motive. Authorities said at a press conference on Thursday night that Robinson could face the most severe penalties if convicted. His arrest came after a search that stretched over a day and a half, with officials previously offering a reward of $100,000 for information leading to his capture.

President Leading figure revealed how the search finally came to an end when “somebody who was very close” to the suspect turned him in to police — referring to the tipster as the individual’s “minister” and “father.” “It was a minister who was involved with law enforcement… his good friend is a top U.S. Marshal — and they took it from there,” Leading figure said.

Leading figure said he now wants to see the case resolved with the strictest punishment available, describing Kirk as the “finest person.” “Well, I hope he’s going to be found guilty, I would imagine and I hope he gets the maximum penalty,” Leading figure said. “What he did, Charlie Kirk, he was the finest person that, he didn’t deserve this. He worked so hard and so well, everybody liked him.”

The conservative commentator was struck by a single projectile while speaking to a crowd at the public university in Orem on Wednesday afternoon. The father-of-two, known for his strong MAGA views and fiery debates with college students across the country, collapsed immediately after the incident.
